City of Dalton / Whitfield County
Dalton-Whitfield has been participating in this holiday recycling tradition for over ten years. The “Bring One for the Chipper” event will take place on Saturday, January 8th from 9am till 4pm. Volunteers will be at the Home Depot at 875 Shugart Road in Dalton to accept your trees. In exchange for recycling, the participants will receive a free tree seedling or packet of seeds. City of Alpharetta / North Fulton County
The City of Alpharetta and North Fulton County area celebrates 21 years of Christmas tree recycling. The 21st Annual “Bring One for the Chipper” Event will be held on Saturday, January 8th from 9am till 3pm. Residents should bring their trees to the Home Depot located at 5300 Windward Parkway. The trees will be chipped into mulch for public projects. The mulch is also available free to Alpharetta citizens. To request mulch, you will need to fill out this request form.
Roswell
The Historic Roswell Kiwanis and Keep Roswell Beautiful will hold their recycling event at two Home Depot locations on Saturday, January 8th from 9am till 4pm. The Home Depot at 870 Woodstock Road in Roswell or the Home Depot at 1570 Holcomb Bridge Road. Roswell has been participating in the program for 21 years and expects to recycle around 11,000 trees. They will also recycle strands of lights.
Pickens County
Keep Pickens Beautiful is sponsoring the “Bring One for the Chipper” event in Pickens County. Residents are invited to recycle their Christmas trees on Saturday, January 8th from 9am till 4pm. The event will be located at the Park’n Ride across the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce Building in Newton Park at 500 Stegall Street. “Bring One for the Chipper” is a state-wide effort to reuse Christmas trees. Keep Georgia Beautiful works with sponsors and volunteers each year to organize recycling events across the state.
